What others are saying about this campground
Cranberry Lake in Cranberry Lake, NY is a fantastic campground with tons of free campsites and lean-to options, some complete with picnic tables and fire areas. This is a first arrive type of campground, but its worth it. The lake is massive and absolutely gorgeous, and there are swimming and fishing opportunities available. The privacy offered between sites is pretty good. The hike up and around Bear Mountain was a great workout and fun experience for families. The bath houses are toilets only, but there is one shower house in the middle of the campground. There are plenty of freshwater taps throughout the campground for drinking and shuttling water back to your site, and there are 2 fresh water fill stations to fill your trailer if needed. The dump station is on the right as you exit the campground. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the site itself is large and spread out. Some sites are not level, so be sure to bring plenty of blocks for leveling out your trailer. Overall, its an excellent place to stay and camp.
