What others are saying about this campground
Stony Brook State Park is a beautiful park located in the top of the park. It is a primitive campground with no hookups, but potable water and a dump station are available. The campsites are spacious, level, and have a mix of dirt and stone. The tree cover is just starting to come in and provides some sun for solar. The lower park offers a unique natural swimming pool, playground, snack/gift shop, and lovely trails. The man made gorge trail is a must-see. The bathhouse has four showers and the swimming area is currently closed. Bring plenty of leveling gear as the roads are narrow and some trees have fallen, blocking access to the brook. Park staff are often seen until nightfall and the park can be quite busy during peak season. It is a great place to stay in the off-season.
