What others are saying about this campground
North-South Lake in Elka Park, NY is a huge and beautiful park that offers great opportunities for hiking. The lake is nice and most sites are shady and private. Visitors can enjoy scenic views while walking around the lakes, especially during the fall when the leaves change colors. Although the uphill pull to the campground is quite long, the park is lovely. There are challenging hikes available as well as easier hikes for those with limited mobility. While it may not be for everyone, this is a fantastic place for camping as the facilities are okay and most campers want to be out in nature. Some campers unfortunately leave trash everywhere and play loud music, which can be disruptive for some. Nevertheless, the staff is fantastic and friendly.
