This RV campground had plenty of areas for both trailers and tents, as well as a stunning grassy area surrounded by trees and a stone wall. There were different events offered on the weekends, such as a group bonfire and free roasted corn as well as hay rides for the kids. The owner was nice and offered to turn on the hot tub for visitors. The site slanted backwards so visitors should ask for a level site if that is an issue. The wood purchased from the store was average in cost and a bit damp, so it was not easy to light. There were scenic views of the Catskills and a nearby reservoir for walking. The staff were friendly and helpful even with the special event. There was a heated pool, clean showers and restrooms, and well kept grounds. All in all, this campground was a great choice for a low key weekend getaway.

Country Roads Campground is a peaceful camping site located on a mountain ridge in the heart of the majestic northern Catskills. With an elevation of 2175 feet, the campground offers a view that will warm a photographer’s heart, with every vista inviting tranquility as the pure mountain air and refreshing breezes dissipate summer heat. The campground offers a wide variety of recreational activities for everyone to enjoy, including weekend potlucks, roasts, Bingo, and other special entertainment frequently hosted in their large pavilion. They offer a choice of wooded, semi-wooded, or grassy sites for RV’ers and backpackers. They also offer cabin rentals. Free camping is available for Scout Troops (must be a troop camp-out for boys or girls).
