Kerr Dam is a great campground located near Almond Lake and Pennsylvania Hill. It is easy to access, and there are plenty of sites available. The Finger Lakes Trail runs through the campground, making it a great spot for hikers. There are two playgrounds, a baseball field, and a basketball hoop, as well as a nature trail through the woods. The lake is great for kayaking and fishing, but only non-motorized boats are allowed. There are no water or sewer hookups, but there is a dump station and a trash dumpster. The sites are mostly in an open field, with limited shade. Geese have taken over the lakefront, making it hazardous to walk around, and people have left their trash in the area. The caretakers are very attentive, and the staff seems to be friendly and helpful. The park is close enough to town for shopping, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful countryside. It is a great place to relax and unwind, and is well maintained and reasonably priced.
