This campground is an ideal spot for a Monday through Friday visit. It is close to restrooms and has river access across the street. The grounds are heavily treed and mowed, and have a lot of separation between sites. The 50/30/20 amp pedestal is new and high enough that the power cord is above the ground. The trees coming into the campground werent trimmed adequately enough to allow the coach to pass under without them rubbing on the roof. However, the site is fairly level side-to-side and about 1 degree low in front. There is a nearby bridge that causes noise for the river sites nearer the entrance. The campground is easy to get to off the highway, and there is a good local diner nearby. The people who run the campground are nice, and the grounds are laid out logically.

AuSable River Campground is a family-owned and operated campground situated on 130 acres of beautifully wooded land along the AuSable River in New York’s Adirondack Park. The campground offers campsites that must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, and facilities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, and a store. Pets are allowed on a leash and vaccination records must be available at all times. The campground has quiet hours from 10pm to 7am on Sunday-Thursday and from 11pm to 7am on Friday and Saturday. Disorderly conduct, drunkenness, obscene language, firearms, and fireworks are not allowed. The campground is not liable for any injuries to any person at the campground.
