What others are saying about this campground
Forked Lake Campground is a beautiful primitive campground located in New York. All of the sites are widely spaced and situated on the lakefront. Canoe rentals are available for paddling to sites and some sites have their own docks. The campground is poorly maintained and the management is very poor and uncaring. Unfortunately, late June is not the best time to visit as the bugs are very heavy and you will get eaten alive by black flies. However, the water is a nice temperature and there is lots of wildlife to observe. Be aware that this is bear country. If you are up for a primitive camping experience and dont mind the bugs, Forked Lake Campground is a great option.
