Lake Eaton Campground is a beautiful campground located in the Sargent Ponds Wild Forest. The campground offers access to the Lake Eaton Trail and the larger Sargent Ponds Wild Forest Trail System, as well as the popular Owls Head Mtn. Trail and Fire Tower. The campground features a variety of amenities, including camping sites, day use areas, and a Junior Naturalist Program for children. Nearby attractions include the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake, Water Safari Water Theme Park in Old Forge, and The Wild Center, Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks in Tupper Lake. Visitors should be aware of DEC campground rules and regulations, as well as hiking safety tips. The Final Unit Management Plan (UMP) for the campground guides the DEC's land management activities at this facility for a five-year period, although a number of goals and objectives in the plan focus on a much longer time period.
