Lake Harris Campground is a peaceful and serene spot nestled in the Adirondacks. The campground offers a variety of sites, including lakefront sites for boat owners, and standard no hookup sites for tent camping. From The Campground
Lake Harris Campground & Day Use Area is a DEC-managed campground located in Newcomb, NY. The campground is easily accessible from the Northway (I-87) and the Thruway (I-90). The Final Unit Management Plan (UMP) for the campground guides the DEC's land management activities at this facility for a five-year period. The campground offers camping and day use areas, and is located near the Adirondack Park Visitors Interpretive Center, the Adirondack Museum, and the Historic Tahawus Tract and the Tahawus Ghost Town. The campground also offers a Junior Naturalist Program for young children (5-13) and their families. Visitors are encouraged to follow DEC campground rules and regulations, and to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasives and invasive insects. A golf course with snack bar is located nearby.
