Old Forge Campground is a great place to spend a quiet and relaxing weekend away. The campground offers 30amp electric, dirt sites, and heated bath houses and restrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they even provide snow removal and special Valentine Weekends with chocolates and Champagne delivered to your cabin. The trails are connected to the Adirondacks for snowmobiling and there is plenty to explore in the area. Unfortunately, the night peace is often broken by rowdy and inebriated adults and unruly kids chasing after the black bears that frequent the campground. The sites can quickly turn to mud in the rain and there is no fire pit. The wiring cannot handle air conditioners so they are not allowed. Despite these drawbacks, the campground offers a great opportunity for a fun and active vacation.
