Paradox Lake Campground is a beautiful and secluded campground located just 3 miles off the Northway, headed east on Rt.74. It is close to all the eastern high peaks and offers 58 modern but basic sites for tent, RV and pop-up campers. The lake is great for kayaking, swimming, and boating and the scenery is stunning all year round. The campground is well maintained and taken care of, and the bathrooms are actually clean. During the summer months, it can get pretty busy and loud with a lot of people drinking and playing music. There are many nearby lakes for side visits and the nearby Schroon Village offers supermarkets, restaurants, laundromats, gas stations, and a small “village” department store. The campground closes earlier in the fall, so visitors should plan accordingly.

Paradox Lake Campground & Day Use Area is a 58 unit campground located in New York. The campground was developed by the Conservation Department and has been expanded over the years. The campground offers a Junior Naturalist Program for children and their families, which includes games and activities to earn an embroidered patch. The campground is also an outdoor classroom for young children. The campground offers camping and day use areas. The Department of Environmental Conservation offers a variety of programs and services related to outdoor activities, animals, plants, aquatic life, chemical and pollution control, energy and climate, lands and waters, education, permits, licenses, and registrations, public involvement and news, regulations and enforcement, publications, forms, and maps.
