This campground offers beautiful views of the Esopus Creek, as well as a short walk into town for supplies. However, the owner is very rude and demanding, and the campground is in a state of disrepair. The electric boxes are loose and dangerous, the water pressure is weak, and the road is narrow with trees and bushes that have not been trimmed back. There is no one on duty to help with any questions or problems, and the owner will not accept any payment other than cash. Despite this, the atmosphere is quiet and respectful, and there is the occasional excitement of seeing a black bear. Tent camping and tubing on the river are possible, but it is not recommended for those who prefer a more comfortable camping experience.
