Russell Brook Campground is a family-friendly, heavily wooded campground nestled between two mountains and located near the Forest Preserve Wilderness area. The site is equipped with a pool, large rec hall, a playground, two small fishing ponds with fountains, a laundry and a small camp store. The campground is well maintained and some of the facilities looked to be brand new. A decommissioned, large water wheel is located at the back of the property, providing a unique and historical experience. While the campground offers a variety of amenities, there are some drawbacks. The roads are quite rocky and there is a lack of water pressure, and cell service, Wi-Fi, radio and television reception are either nonexistent or spotty. Despite these issues, Russell Brook Campground provides a generally pleasant and enjoyable experience for families.

Russell Brook Campsites is a secluded campground located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Surrounded by 18,000 acres of forest preserve, majestic mountains, and babbling fresh water streams, this campground offers natural beauty beyond description. The campground is located only 1/2 mile from the famous Beaverkill River, yet also only 2 1/2 hours from New York City, 1 hour from Binghamton, and 1 hour from Middletown. Russell Brook Campsites offers a great family atmosphere and a variety of camping options including water and electric hookups, waterfront and wooded RV sites, rustic cabin rentals, secluded waterfront sites exclusively for tent campers, and group camping available with advance reservations. The campground also features a camp store, recreation hall, swimming pool, clean restrooms with free hot showers, fully stocked catch-and-release fishing ponds, horseshoe pits, playground, haywagon rides, and a mini basketball court.
