The nightly rate for out-of-state visitors is $22 plus a $5 surcharge and tax, making it not the best value for a boondocking site. Despite this, the central location of the campground and opportunities for kayaking are some of the campgrounds positive aspects.

Fish Creek Pond Campground is considered the finest and most attractive of all the Adirondack campgrounds, offering a natural sand shoreline and water access for most campsites. Pristine rivers and ponds are accessible to both motorized and non-motorized boats. In addition to exceptional boating, the campground offers a variety of other recreational opportunities, including the well-regarded Interpreter Activity Program, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling.
