GenieSummary
The park provides a boat launch, trails, playground, and a pavilion. The sites are large, level, and graveled with a mix of back in and pull thru sites. Electric hookups only, but the dump station is convenient (which is also where the trash dumpsters are) and there are water spigots at various places. The park is beautifully maintained, clean and staff helpful and friendly. There is a large dock and boat ramp for easy access to the Hudson River, and lots of trails through a Bird Conservation (BCA) area on site. The large family picnic area and playground are clean and spacious. Shared water spigot nearby, or fill your fresh tank on the way in. The campsites are nicely spaced and foliage is abundant between pull thru sites. There is a sushi place in Castleton on the Hudson town 5 min north. Road between check-in station and boat launch area is rough. Overall a great campground to enjoy the beauty of the Hudson River and the surrounding area.
