Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain is a popular destination for hikers and rock climbers. The mountain offers commanding summit views of the High Peaks and Green Mountains in Vermont, Lake Champlain, and the Champlain Valley. There are two trails to the summit, the 4.8-mile Observer's Trail and the 2.4-mile Ranger Trail. The tower on the summit is open to the public during the summer and selected weekends in the fall. The cliffs on the mountain are considered one of the best climbing locations in the northeast, with more than 250 climbing routes on numerous cliff faces. Overnight camping is prohibited.
