Schroon Lake Quiet Campground is the perfect place to get away from it all. Located on the beautiful Schroon Lake, this campground offers rustic campsites with a picnic table, fire, grate, and outhouse. There is a short 900 ft hike from the car to the campsite. The campground also offers ADA accessible facilities, showers, a beach, fishing dock, pavilion, and a private beach. Verizon cell phone and hot spot service are available. Boat docks are available for rent on a first come/first service basis. Larger RVs up to 40 feet can fit nicely in the campground, except for the amphitheater loop which is for smaller campers and tents. The staff personnel are friendly and helpful, and the grounds are clean and manicured. The dump station is easy to access and use. The campground is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature, and is the same location where a movie with Natalie Wood and Gene Kelly was filmed in 1958.

From The Campground

Scaroon Manor Campground & Day Use Area is a historic campground located in the Adirondack region of New York. Prior to its acquisition by New York State in 1967, the site was a destination resort for the wealthy, offering a broad range of facilities and activities including golf, swimming, canoeing, boating, sailing, water skiing, bowling, handball, baseball, basketball, tennis, hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and roller skating. The campground features informational panels throughout the site that describe its rich history. Scaroon Manor also offers a Junior Naturalist Program for children ages 5-13 and their families, providing an outdoor classroom with games and activities to earn a beautiful embroidered patch.
