Taughannock Falls State Park is a beautiful park located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The park features the tallest free-falling waterfall east of the Mississippi, with a drop of 215 feet. Visitors can enjoy hiking along the Gorge Trail, which offers stunning views of the waterfall and the surrounding hemlock forests mixed with other hardwood trees. The park also offers seasonal slips for boating, canoe rack rentals, and lessons for paddleboarding and kayaking. In addition, there are campsites, cabins, and pavilions available for rent. Deer hunting (bow only) is permitted in season.
