GenieSummary

Buck Pond Campground is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The campground is secluded, yet not too far from Lake Placid. The sites are sandy and mostly level. There is no electricity, but there is one outlet in the bathroom area. The shower is dated and bring appropriate footwear and a mat/towel is advised. There is a canoe/kayak rental at the campground and a beach. Firewood can be purchased at a store nearby. There are plenty of activities to do, like kayaking on the pond and lake, fishing, and hiking. The staff is efficient, but not particularly customer service oriented. It is a great place for those who enjoy dry camping and the great outdoors.
