The New York City North - Newburgh KOA Holiday in Wallkill, NY has a great location, being close to NYC but also having a classic campground feel. The sites are a mixed bag, with the RV/trailer only section being really nice and wooded. The other tent/cabin side was loud and not private, but some sites are woodsy and private. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the camping clientele is a mixed bag. The amenities are pretty good, with two pools (although both can be overcrowded), a large playground, mini golf and a jumping pad. The KOA store is well-stocked and theres 24/7 laundry. The showers are clean and theres a good & pleasant playground area for kids. Despite some tired amenity games in need of refurbishment, this is an above average (if not excellent) KOA in the area.
