Military Park Round Pond Rec Area (U.S. Military Academy) in West Point, NY is a beautiful and spacious campground with lots of amenities to enjoy. The 5-site circle that we stayed in had a great view of the pond and surrounding trees, which were almost in full fall colors. The gravel and grass site was a bit tight for our 36-ft motorhome and we had to use a few leveling blocks, but we made it work. The fire ring was a little too close to the fifth wheel in the site behind us, but we were able to enjoy a fire regardless. The dump station was located in an odd place next to the bathhouse/laundry building, but we were able to find a way to navigate to it without too much trouble. The campground has only one bathhouse and one dump station, but we were still able to enjoy our stay. There are also plenty of trails to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Overall, we would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Round Pond Recreation Area offers a variety of camping options including pop-up sites, tent sites, mini log cabins, and a rental cottage. The campground also features several pavilions available for rent, as well as recreational vehicle and boat storage. The Round Pond Swim Area is open seasonally and offers a designated swim area with lifeguards on duty. The campground has several rules and policies in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.
