Forest Lake RV & Camping Resort in Advance, NC is located on a beautiful piece of land. Most of the sites are worked into the land, giving an authentic camping vibe. Youll find friendly and mostly helpful staff members, and the park is a good distance away from the main street, reducing road noise. However, some areas of the park are in dire need of attention. The park is very large, and some areas are run down and neglected. Many of the sites are not level, and the interior roads in some sections are rutted. There are only two laundry facilities with three washers and dryers each, which can be insufficient given the parks size. The putt-putt setup in the park has fallen into disrepair and needs urgent attention. Though the park claims not to have any full-time residents, several sites have large porches, exterior storage sheds, etc., indicating the opposite. Overall, the park may not meet the expectations of all campers, and some amenities are not up to par. But, if you can find a well-maintained site on the newly paved interior roads, it can be a peaceful and tranquil experience.
