Flintlock Campground in Boone, NC is a nice and friendly place with beautiful sites by a creek that is relaxing. The bathhouse is well-maintained and the staff is helpful. Some sites are small and tent camping can be crowded, but one site in particular (#9) is recommended for those staying in tents. The entrance to the campground is easily accessible from Route 105, but some of the roads within the campground can be tight for larger rigs. The sites vary in base (asphalt or gravel) and include a picnic table and a trash can. The campground is generally quiet and clean, and the staff is accommodating. While the cable TV was not working and the water pressure was low, they were sufficient for basic needs. Overall, its a decent place to camp and worth staying at again.
