The campground is well-cared for and features friendly and informative park rangers. The location is a great home base for activities such as tubing on Deep Creek, which forms the boundary of the campground. The camp store is well-stocked, and there are nice playgrounds for children. The laundry facilities had fairly new machines and were affordable. Verizon and ATT have good coverage in the area. The shower area is due for an update, but it is cleaned daily and offers a place to freshen up after a day of activities in the outdoors. Deep Creek Tube Center & Campground is a Smoky Mountain campground, cabin and RV vacation destination on the banks of Deep Creek, north of Bryson City and near Cherokee, North Carolina. It offers more than 40 campsites, from creekside tent camping to pop-ups, travel trailers, RVs and cabins. The campground also has 26 rental cabins, from modern campground cabins to hand-hewn log cabins, plus a large house for small groups. Deep Creek is a family vacation paradise in the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, with a cascading whitewater stream flowing out of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, rippling trout runs, sparkling waterfalls, natural swimming holes, mountain trails lined with wildflowers and a mile of the best whitewater tubing in the Smokies.
