What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located close to town and is fairly new, with clean facilities. Sites are all dirt and quite crowded, with the awning of the RV next to ones slide-out almost touching. There are millions of flies due to the close proximity of horses and their by-products, and no laundry, showers, bathrooms, pool, or dog park. Full hookup is provided, but the water pressure is quite high. Dressing rooms for the indoor swimming pool were fair. Despite this, the campground is not recommended due to the dirt, small spaces, and flies.

From The Campground
Black Mountain Campground offers 37 primitive campsites with 3 campsites with electric hookups. The campsites are equipped with picnic tables, tent pads, lantern posts and campfire rings with grills. The facility provides hot showers and restrooms with flush toilets. There is a small supply store where campers can purchase firewood, ice, t-shirts, and souvenirs. The campground is located near the South Toe River and offers activities such as camping, RV camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking, nature viewing, and picnicking. During the summer, a variety of programs, children's activities and guided walks are featured at Black Mountain and Carolina Hemlocks Campgrounds. The programs focus on wildlife and wildflower identification.
