This RV campground is located near Pinehurst, NC and is a short walk away from a good restaurant. The owner had recently excavated a number of sites, and is rebuilding a local favorite restaurant that burnt down beside the campground. The airstrip has little traffic, and is more of a community airport with homes having their own hangars. The sites are gravel with a dirt forest floor for a patio, and the nearby Pik-n-Pig BBQ restaurant is highly rated. The campground is close to Southern Pines and Pinehurst and is not an RV Resort. Markdowns are made for muddy roads during a rainy stay, and utilities worked with low water pressure. There are no facilities, but it is a convenient place to stay with easy access, good WiFi, and is extremely quiet at night. The price is not a bargain, but is higher due to being in the area.
