What others are saying about this campground
This campground was formerly kept up to date and a safe and friendly environment, but has since declined. Despite the current state of disarray, there are still some positives such as longleaf pines for shade, a lovely lake to kayak or swim in, and the owner is attentive and accommodating. The downside is the rough driveway, overgrown trees, and the abundance of pine trees that can leave ones camper and tow vehicle covered in sap. It is mostly long-term campers and the hostess is very welcoming and gracious. Activities include swimming in the lake, beach, volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, ping pong, and miniature ponies. The campground is quiet and peaceful and the facilities are clean and up to date. The host was friendly and hosted an egg hunt and chili cookoff over the weekend. There is a fee structure which some may view as a downside. In conclusion, this campground has potential, but could benefit from some much needed TLC.
