Cherokee Great Smokies KOA is a picturesque campground with friendly staff and well-maintained grounds. The indoor pool was a hit with the grandkids, although the water was a bit chilly in March. Upgrades to the outdoor pool and surrounding areas were underway during one visit. Motion sensor lights in the bathhouses were inconvenient for some guests, but the facilities were otherwise clean and renovated. There were plenty of recreational opportunities on-site, including a playground for kids. Some cabins and amenities could use updating, but overall guests loved the peaceful, scenic location.
