Located off NC150, guests are in close proximity to shopping, food, and lake activities. The park offers pull-through gravel sites, making it easy to get in and out. Although the park may seem junky and unorganized, it has some attractive features such as a clean pool and well-maintained carpet golf course. The laundry room is situated next to the garbage dumpsters and bathrooms, which are a little far from the campsites. While most of the park is occupied by long-term rentals, there is a separate area for seasonal travelers. If you are looking for an inexpensive option and do not mind being in a part of Lake Norman not directly on I-77, Cross Country Campground is worth considering. Weekends are typically busier, especially during summers, so it is best to book early for space.
