The staff is accommodating and helpful, offering assistance with leveling blocks when it was needed. However, some guests experienced issues when their reserved sites were changed without communication or were too small for their rigs, which led to tight and difficult parking conditions. Some found the customer service in the office to be lacking and overly focused on rules and regulations. Great Outdoors RV Resort is located in Franklin, North Carolina, surrounded by the Great Smokies and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The park offers big rig sites within a wooded setting with spectacular sunsets. The event center features two full kitchens, restroom facilities, wide-screen TV, WII entertainment system, brand new deck with a porch overlooking the pool area. Every campsite and cabin can easily connect to WIFI and Cable. The resort also has a 'Bark Park', an enclosed off-leash area for pets. The park offers 63 RV sites that have 30/50-amp electric service, water and sewer, and three beautiful mountain cabins furnished with linens, silverware, and dishes. The park offers many amenities including free basic internet, cable TV, a viewing deck, rocking chair porch, garbage pick-up at your site, and a sparkling swimming pool.
