Indian Springs Campground is a small, quiet campground located in a hollow, close to Route 40 and Hickory. The drive into the campground can be steep and rocky/paved, so be aware if you have a low-lying fifth wheel. The site is mostly made up of permanent campers, but it is very quiet. The campground is well-maintained and the staff is friendly. Cell service is good and the sites are pretty flat. There are no shower/restroom facilities, but there is a laundry room available. The catch and release fishing pond and creek access are nice additions. While there is a nature walk, it is at the top of the hill and may be too steep for some people. Indian Springs Campground is a great place to stay if youre looking for a secluded and serene campground spot close to Hickory. However, its a good idea to call ahead to make sure there will be a spot available, because they often stay booked up.
