Cross Creek RV Park is a great place to stay for those seeking a peaceful getaway in the mountains. The campground is located in a lovely valley with lots of open spaces and meticulously maintained grounds. The camp host will meet you at the entrance and escort you to your site, providing you with all the necessary information about the campground and the area. The sites are spacious and level, with a fire ring, picnic table, and concrete slab. There is no pool, but there is a huge open grass area and a very large fenced dog run. There is also a pavilion and laundry facilities. The wifi is fair, cable TV is excellent, and Verizon cell phone coverage is good. There is only one vehicle allowed per site and they charge a daily fee of $2.00 to park in the overage lot in the field. The campground is primarily a summer home for seasonal retirees escaping their warmer climates, but there are also a few permanent park style homes. There are many attractions nearby, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the casino in Cherokee. The nightly fee is high considering the lack of amenities, but the value and location cant be beat.
