Bear Den Mountain Resort & Campground located in Marion, NC is an excellent choice for a camping adventure. The staff is friendly, and the well-stocked store will have everything you need for your stay. While the sites may be a bit close together, they are still spacious enough for a truck and TT. The bathhouses are clean, and the outdoor washer/dryer is a nice touch. Although the hiking trails partially go out on the roads through the campgrounds, the portions of trails through the woods are nice. The campground itself is clean, and the staff is helpful. While the cell service may be inconsistent, the Wi-Fi at the campground works well for staying connected. Overall, Bear Den Mountain Resort & Campground is a great place to visit and is highly recommended.

From The Campground
Spacious Skies Campgrounds is located in the Blue Ridge Foothills of North Carolina. The campground offers spacious campsites and is committed to providing an accessible experience for all visitors. Please note that Four-Wheel Drive vehicles or vehicles with tire chains are recommended in the possible event of snow and/or ice. The campground can be accessed via Hwy 221 to the Blue Ridge Parkway (at Linville), then go south on the BRP to Bear Den Mountain Road (at milepost 324.8, approximately 6 miles.) Then take Bear Den Mtn. Road to the East (left) about 1/2 mile to our Office.
