Steele Creek Park & Family Campground in Morganton, NC is a beautiful and family-friendly park with lots of water activities that visitors love. Although the river spots could use some improvement, the river itself is awesome and the park is a great place to bike ride. The campground is usually occupied by season campers, but visitors can still enjoy the park during off-seasons or mid-week. Internet connectivity may not be reliable in certain sections (G and H), but the staff is helpful and friendly. Overall, Steele Creek Park & Family Campground is a wonderful place to visit and stay for a weekend.

Steel Creek Park & Campground is a family-friendly campground located in the Western North Carolina mountains. The campground offers a clean, quiet, and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the beauty of nature. They have a variety of basic and premium sites to choose from, including tent and pop-up sites, 50 amp RV sites, and creekside sites. The campground has been welcoming campers for over 60 years and offers amenities such as a putt-putt course, playground, hiking, fishing, swimming, and events for all to enjoy. They are located just minutes away from some of the best hiking and fishing spots in North Carolina, including Lake James State Park and Linville Falls, and less than an hour’s drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
