This campground is a great place to bring the family for a weekend of fishing, swimming, and exploring. The owner, Todd, is friendly and helpful, and the campground is well maintained with a mix of short and long term campsites. Each tent site has water, a picnic table, and a 30-amp electric outlet. The campground is located in a forest of tall trees, and is only 10 minutes from the hometown of Andy Griffith and Mayberry. There are three ponds on-site where you can catch and release fish, and the WiFi signal is strong. The campground has two pools and a zip line, but unfortunately they are closed during the off-season. There is also a jumping pillow for an additional fee. Unfortunately, the bathhouse is old and in need of renovation. RVs should be cautious on the winding, narrow road inside the campground, as it is steep near the back of the campground.
