Mayberry Campground is a great spot for an overnight stay when visiting the area. It is run by the local VFW and American Legion and is located a mile and a half from downtown Mayberry. The campground offers a large, open field with about 60 spots, all situated along the edges. There are no hookups or amenities, but the site is level and well-manicured. It is also located next to a high school track, so visitors can enjoy the sounds of a football game in the evening. There is also a Greenway next to the campground and river, making it a great place for a walk. The campground is an honor system, and the operator is friendly and helpful. The rate is $30 per night, but visitors can park in the field for only $10.
