Oregon Inlet in Nags Head, NC is a great campground with a location that enabled the Wright Brothers to fly. The location is close to a beautiful beach, with many sites having 50 amp and water hookups. The campground has clean restrooms and hosts who maintain the place well. Showers could use some improvement though. The campground can be windy, but it is a nice location overall, not far south of Nags Head. Tow vehicles may need to be parked sideways due to short sites. There are also sand burrs present. Verzion has good coverage, OTA is poor. WIFI is available at the ranger station at the entrance. The campground can be noisy due to its proximity to Highway 12. The interior road can be tight for larger vehicles. Walking paths over the dunes also present.
