This campground is a great option for those looking for a budget-friendly stay in the New Bern area. The sites are basic, but offer full hookups and partial shade. However, the power connections are dangerously close to the ground which could present a hazard during flooding, and there is an enormous ant problem that has been present for over a year. The bathrooms are clean, but there is mildew growing on the grout lines in the showers. Wi-Fi is good at times, but can be unreliable when the manager is away. Access to the sites is poor, with very narrow roads and very sandy soil with deep ruts. The park is good for overnighting, but not worth paying full price.
