Oyster Point Campground is a no-frills, budget-friendly campground located on the coast of North Carolina. It is a small campground with 16 sites, perfect for tent camping and RV camping. The campground is surrounded by trees, providing plenty of privacy and shade. Vault toilets are well-maintained and cleaned, and there are free water spigots and nice gravity toilets. Each campsite has a fire ring and picnic table, and there are logs provided at each site for firewood or seating around the campfire. The roads are well-maintained and easy to access. There is a launch for canoes and kayaks, and the campground is a great starting point for hiking in Croatan National Forest. The camp host, Tanya, is friendly and helpful. Mosquitoes were not terrible, but bug spray is recommended. The campground is closed due to coronavirus, but it is highly recommended for a peaceful, rustic camping experience.
