What others are saying about this campground
Buck Hill Campground in Newland, NC is a charming and well-maintained park situated by the North Toe River. The park is spacious with many seasonal sites featuring lovely decks, gardens, and well-kept RVs. There are a few daily sites available, but most are seasonal, with well-maintained rigs and cute sleeping cabins by the fishing pond. The Buck Hill hike starts nearby, leading visitors to a challenging but spectacular view. Linville Falls and the Rhododendron gardens are a short drive away and well worth visiting. The staff is friendly, with owners who are super nice and helpful. Upon arrival, visitors can go straight to their site and set up camp, and the owners usually stop by later to say hello. The property offers excellent amenities, including a nice gathering room, basketball, pickleball, arcade games, firewood, ice, and laundry at a reasonable price. The bathhouse is a bit dated but tidy, and the Wi-Fi is decent, supplementing the in-and-out Verizon and ATT signals. Overall, the park is quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal spot to enjoy nature and relax.
