Plumtree Campground and Retreat is a lovely mountain location for off-season camping, with only a few other guests sharing the quiet campground. Communication with the staff was helpful and concise, even leading to a guide to lead us back to the campground. Set up and departure were aided by the manager/host. Brand new and self-service laundry facilities are available. Wi-Fi is offered on site, but cell service can be spotty. The location is beautiful, but access roads are narrow and steep. The spot is perfect for those who enjoy walking in hilly terrain, with lovely trails available. The owner and staff were always available to assist with various needs, and the fishing pond was a great spot to catch trout. The campgrounds entrance and exit may be challenging for some, with steep and hilly roads.
