Teeeters Campground on Ocracoke Island offers a unique camping experience with access to the quaint village and all its amenities. With just two bathroom stalls for the entire campground, the bathrooms are kept clean and the shower has hot water. Each site has a picnic table and a charcoal grill, but campfires are prohibited. The owner is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Guests can rent golf carts to explore the village and the campground is within walking distance of the public library, which has Wi-Fi and computers to use. Unfortunately, the campground is mosquito-infested and the sites are swampy and unlevel. The proprietor has a full-time job elsewhere, so it is extremely difficult to get him on the phone. Despite these drawbacks, Teeeters Campground offers a great island experience with access to the village and all its amenities.
