River Camp USA (possible name change to River Country) has been renovated by the new owners and is now a pleasant, family-friendly campground with river sites, tubing, and kayaking facilities within walking distance. The bath house and electric hookups are all up to code and the campground is kept quiet at night. There is a store available and the campground is located in a beautiful, pristine area of NC and close to Jefferson for shopping. The owners and staff are very courteous and friendly, and the campground is surrounded by beautiful scenery in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The roads in the park are rugged but the sites are level and spacious. The kayaking and tubing trips down the river are popular and the owners are working on improving the hook-ups and other facilities. The campground is quite crowded on weekends and offers a more private setting during the week.
