Davidson River Campground is a beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campground in Pisgah Forest, NC. The campsites are spacious and shaded, and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. The location of the campground is unbeatable, with numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and waterfalls all within a short drive. The campground is located close to Brevard, which has several good restaurants and breweries. The river is stocked with trout, making it a great spot for fishing. There is also a nice swimming hole, although the temperature can drop significantly. The art Loeb Trailhead is perfect for longer hikes and the exercise loop is great for shorter ones. Although some loops might be tight for larger RVs, Sycamore Loop appears to accommodate them. There is no cell service, except occasionally for Verizon and ATT. Overall, its a quiet and peaceful camping experience with a lot of privacy and room, and there were no issues with rowdy campers.
