Stone Mountain State Park in Roaring Gap, NC is an awesome place to camp! The well-maintained campgrounds are spacious and peaceful, with a small stream nearby that adds to the ambiance. The Stone Loop Mountain Trail is a must-see and suitable for all ages, although it can be long and strenuous. The Homestead is another highlight of the park thats great for strolling around. However, some people have complained about the showers, which require pressing a button to get water. While its an excellent way to conserve water, it can be frustrating and doesnt allow for much time to enjoy the water. Overall, this is a great campground with hiking trails that offer something for everyone - from waterfalls to old homesteads to beautiful mountains.
