The campground is located on a great stretch of the Broad River, and it was very calming to sit and listen to the river flowing by. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The sites were all spacious, and the view of the river was beautiful. The only downside was that the bathrooms could use some updating. Overall, this is a great campground and we would definitely stay here again. This RV campground is located in a rural part of western NC, close to Lake Lure, Asheville, Chimney Rock, and Black Mountain. Cell service, WiFi, and cable are not available at the campground. The entrance road is poorly maintained. The majority of sites are full hookups and shaded, but the bathrooms could use updating. The staff are friendly and helpful and the river is the main draw. It is a great place for tubing, fishing, and enjoying the view of the river. The campground has been improved by new owners, but still needs work. It is a good spot for a night stayover and there is a nearby Ingles Supermarket. The owners are very friendly and the playground is great for kids. The apple trees near the campsites are also a great bonus.

River Creek Campground is located in the foothills of Western North Carolina, just 10 miles east of Chimney Rock and the Lake Lure area. The campground offers tent camping, pop-up camping, RV sites, and cabin rentals. Guests can fish, swim, and tube on the Broad River. The campground features a playground, game room, laundry, hot showers, store, firewood and ice, internet access, dump station, LP gas, and pets are allowed with restrictions. Nearby attractions include Chimney Rock Park & Shops, Biltmore Estate, Green River Plantation, Farm Museum, Great Smokey Mountain Railroad, Lake Lure Boat Tours, Pisgah National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, and Linville Falls/Caverns.
