This campground is an ideal destination for RVers looking for a relaxing weekend away. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, the campground has plenty of open spots and a dock/fishing pier in great shape. The sites are grassy, clean, and level with 50amp full hookups. There is a beautiful pool area close to North Topsail Beach and great laundry facilities. The campground hosted a free dinner and party (cornhole, music, kids activities) Saturday night. The manager is attentive and accommodating, and the new manager has been working hard to improve the park, including cleaning up the marsh, installing a playground, and breaking ground on the new bathhouse. Verizon towers have been turned over to other providers a couple years ago, but wifi is free and fast at the clubhouse. The campground is not ideal for large Class A rigs, as there is some gravel and sand for the rig, and some people have gotten stuck in the sand. However, the water views, cool breezes, pier, and fishing make this a great spot for a weekend getaway.
