Camp Lejeune is a great spot for a weekend getaway for military, DOD employees and their families. Located right on the beach, this campground offers plenty of space for walking, biking, and other activities. There is a small store for convenience and visitors have found many shark teeth on the beach. Cabins are available for rent, and the campground is open to pop up campers, RVs, and tents. The sites are gravel, but level, with full hookups, including Cable TV and WI-FI. The beach is beautiful and the sound of the waves crashing is a great way to relax and unwind. The campground is also conveniently located near a commissary and exchange, and there are plenty of places to shop and things to do in the nearby town. Unfortunately, the campground can get noisy due to its proximity to a military base, and the pet beach is located a half mile away. Despite this, Camp Lejeune is a great spot for a relaxing and affordable getaway.
