Mountain River Family Campground is a fantastic, family-owned establishment in Spruce Pine, NC that provides a welcoming atmosphere to its guests. This lovely small campground, with around 50 sites, is perfect for kids and family get-togethers. What sets this campground apart is its location along the North Toe River, which is stocked from April to November, and also has a peaceful lake. This is a kids paradise with a great playground, clean and modern bathhouse, and a fabulous camp store with unique items! The laundry facility is fantastic and there is a lovely covered pavilion with comfortable seating, grills, smokers, and more. The owners and staff members are kind and friendly, each carrying out their duties and responsibilities with great efficiency. Campers have access to excellent WiFi (when its up and running), but there is no cell service on-site. The owners are well aware of this and are actively working to resolve the issue by expanding their transmitters and constantly resetting the router. The great atmosphere of this campground and the attention to detail makes it an excellent spot to camp, although it is only open from April-October so be sure to book in advance.

Mountain River Family Campground is a family-friendly campground located in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge mountains on the North Toe River. The campground offers nightly and weekly camping from April to November. The spacious lots have full hook-ups with no limit on camper size. The campground is pet-friendly and offers 1,300 yards of river frontage for trout fishing and tubing. The bathhouse is spa-like and spotless, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The campground is located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and offers easy access to local attractions, including restaurants, wineries, and breweries.
