Located conveniently off I-77, Statesville KOA Journey is a well-maintained camping ground that offers great amenities for a relaxing weekend. Most of the roads and sites are paved and the bathrooms are very clean. The check-in staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is pet friendly and many guests walk their dogs. The only minor downsides are unlevel sites and inconveniently located sewer hook-ups, which can be solved with leveling blocks and extra hose. Overall, its a great place to make a stopover or stay longer, with the added bonus of a beautiful rest area a few miles north.
